Upgrading Ticket Questions?

I have some one day tickets (from our last trip) that I will need to upgrade to 8 day PH tickets. Can I do that at the resort? What time do the ticket windows open at the parks? How long do you think that would take to do at the MK on a Saturday morning?

I'll assume these are either "non-expiring" with a day left, or new "never-used" one-day tix.

It should not take more than 2-3 minutes for the process.
Ask at the resort desk, they should be able to do it.
At the parks, if you arrive well-before opening time (45 min. or so), there should not be much of line waiting.

Make sure you have picture ID for all driving-age adults involved if these where used before.

If they are the former, they cannot now be upgraded. The upgrade must be done within 14 days of first use. Having the no expiration option only guarantees that the unused admission will not expire, not that it gets an exception to the 14 day upgrading rule.

If I have a new "never-used" one-day ticket, can I use that to renew my AP? (as in, "upgrade" it to an AP at the renewal price?)
TIA :)

Non-expire tix are not subject to thje "14-Day Upgrade Limit."

You can always ask.

Sounds reasonable.

Thanks for all of the replies. (My tickets are one day never used that I bought so I could get the dining plan last January.) Does anyone remember how much a base ticket cost last year?

According to the site:
www. wdwmagic. com under "/magicyourway.htm"
as of Jan 2 2005 MYW 1 day adult ticket was 59.75 w/o tax.

Yes they are. The no expiration option only locks in the park admissions being valid in the future. It does not change the 14 day window for upgrading/adding on to the ticket.

You have to remember that Disney has constantly tinkered with the MYW rules ever since they came out in 2005. What was true at one time isn't necessarily true now. The two biggest ticketing changes made in 2006 was the elimination of almost all dollar credit transactions and the expansion of the 14 day window to cover all modifications to any and all tickets. None of these changes are publicly announced. They just show up as current policy on the Cast Portal and in memos.

Thanks TiggerAllie. At least I will have an idea of how much it will cost for the new tickets.
