Upgrading SoCalAP from blackout day tix

Hope someone here knows this- I have a friend going to DLR with me next weekend, she's got the lowest SoCla pass, so she's blocked out on Sunday- originally she was told she can buy a blockout day ticket and then use it to upgrade to the next SoCal pass.

So, her plan is to go down with me on Sunday and buy a blockout day pass for her and her dd, and then upgrade her AP- how does she go about doing this?

That is cool if that works because the next level up pass is $40 more, the same price as blockout admission. Just go to the ticket kiosks near the entrance to the parks after you go through the security check.

She won't need to get a blockout pass, she can just upgrade right at guest services which is just to the left of the turnstiles. They can print out the new pass for her right there since she is already in the system. She can also buy her dd's blockout pass at guest services.
