Upgrading Rooms

Hi,

Just booked a stay at sequoia in one of the lodges. Had to do it that way as i wanted to pay for Eurostar before the prices went up.

Can you upgrade the rooms only with out it affecting any deal you might have taken..?.

Also can you get a better upgrade price if you leave it till the day you arrive..? Has anyone actually tried this and worked out if it's cheaper.

If you upgrade it will be for the offer that is presently running. So if you booked on the 2 nights, 2 days free offer and then request an upgrade you will be offered what ever the present offer is so 40% with free meal vouchers for example.

But these offers do run out so you would need to keep any eye on them. Upgrading the night before might be more expencive and the room rates increase closer to the arrival date.

Unfortunatley not, just using that as an example.

The main one running now is up to 15% off + free Half Board Meal Plan.
All the offers for UK residents can be found here.

Remember there are other offers avilable on other EU countries websites too. Trying to upgrade an existing UK offer booking to another countries offer is possible but it can be hit and miss and you need to call DLP direct in France to stand a better chance of this happening.

And as pointed out, they DO run out. The Cheyenne for our dates is showing with NO discount or free meals. We had booked under the 40% though (the one before the free meals) yet our friends booked the last day off the offer and paid full price, almost double what we paid!

All i am looking at doing is upgrading the room type i stay in from the lodges to maybe just inside the building or lakeside. So i can't just do that without it affecting the current deal..?

That would still be an upgrade as you would be upgrading from a Standard Room to a Montana Room, and they cost more, especially lake view rooms.

I have stayed at the SQ before and booked a Standard room in one of the Lodges but when we checked in I was given a Montana Room in the main building.
