Upgrading room on arrival?

Have room at Yacht club booked with free dining and tickets through WDTC UK and am wondering if it is possible to upgrade to club level on arrival if there are rooms available and how much extra per night it might cost? On UK site it seems to be £100 per night difference ( not financially viable for us) but US site seems to be more like $100 per night which would make sense for my family. Anyone done this before and if so can you remember what you paid? Thanks

If you ask to upgrade on arrival you will pay the difference between rack rate of the room you have booked and the room you want to upgrade too.

This is a really interesting question. How do you know the rack rate? Would you calculate the difference between the rack rates?

I'm hoping that it,s the difference between US prices for gv room and club level gv room which is roughly $100 and would be worth it for 4 of us sharing a room but knowing my luck there wont be any left when we get there I will let you know if we have any luck.

This sounds like it could be useful to us as 2 adults a baby and a toddler sharing one garden view room.

Excluding the lounge what else is different for club level?

There is access to ipo but that only helps if booked prior to arrival. Breakfast, snacks and drinks (wine and beer) available during the day too

Pretty much yes unless you book a deluxe club room but these are not on 5th floor so isn't as easy to nip down to the lounge for a glass of wine lol. Club level has dedicated check in too which is nice

Mousesavers lists rack rates for all resorts.

For Yacht Club - you can see here that the upgrade at rack rates even in the cheapest seasons you are look at nearly $200 a night for a Garden View to a Club level Garden view.
