Upgrading Power Pass on Flexpay

How do I upgrade my son's power pass to a preferred pass if he is on flex pay. I think I read we have to pay off the flex pay balance first? If so can I do that at the park or do I need to call first?

I think you need to call the annual pass line to do that. You do need to pay off the pass and I believe there is some sort of fee involved for breaking the contract if it is done in the middle of the year.

Just wanted to update, just in case anyone else needs this info. We called and the lady was very confused. At first she told us we would have to pay off the pass and then buy a NEW preferred pass. That didn't sound right to me and after she put us on hold she came back and apologized and told us that we had two options after we pay off the balance: pay the difference between a power and a preferred pass or buy a new one. Once our pay off was complete she sent us an email that we had to return in order to cancel the flex pay so it wouldn't renew in August. We then had to upgrade at the actual pass at the park. There was no fee to upgrade other than the difference in passes.

so many read posts and now have an idea of the steps that might be needed to be successful with upgrading to ap from a flex plan.

They didn't realize how much they would love Uni and how much parking would add up). We both asked in person and no one has ever mentioned a fee.

This is where I saw it.

So my Mom happened to call because she is was trying to reinstate my sister's pass for her Christmas present and she happened to ask about my pass...They said that for on a flex pay you need to pay off your pass plus a $25 upgrade fee. I'd never heard of this fee before. Was he mistaken or is there a fee and if there is a fee is it only if you are using payments or does it apply if you paid your pass off fully as well?
