I know that you can upgrade your hopper pass to an Annual pass once you arrive at Disney but can you upgrade a 5 day hooper pass to a 7 day one once you get there?

yes! And the good newa is you'll only be charged the difference from a 5 to a 7 day hopper....you must do this within the 14 day window...that's only a couple of $$$ each ...worth it if you plan on using all the days.

Does anybody know whether you need anything else other than the pass you want to upgrade? (i.e. proof of purchase or price paid).

Or, whether you could do this at the resort or TTC or DTD, rather than guest services at the parks?

So you can still do this, even though Disney no longer sells "hopper passes" per se? I would have thought that the old passes would be grandfathered in that you can use them until they days are all gone, but that changing the number of days would not be possible.

Here's hoping for you that I am totally incorrect in my thinking ... and that's all it was, just out-loud thinking :teeth:

Traditional (2004 and before) hopper and hopper plus passes cannot have more days added but are still good for use as-is.

Should you need more days, trading up the hopper pass is a little better tahn useing it as is and buying just a few more days on an MYW, but stil a terrible deal -- unless you want to plan yet another vacation now and get a 10 day non-expiring MYW pass.

MYW passes may have days added prior to actual use and even up to 6 (13?) days after first use. The cost is the difference between the gate prices of the "before" state and the "after" state, for example $3. more to add a sixth day to a 5 day pass.

I assumed OP was actually referring to upgrading a 5 day MYW w/ hopping to a 7 day MYW w/ hopping rather than the old-style passes.

Actually, we have the old hopper passes .. got them thru Airmiles. I called Disney direct & was told that since they were the old passes that they could not be upgraded at all since they are no longer issued. I guess I got my answer

To answer an earlier question, yes this can be done at DTD guest relations....
