Upgrading orbitz tickets from 4 to 5 days?

Anyone ever done this? We paid 1078 for 2 adult and 2 kid park hoppers.... (4th day free)
Will we get a. 1078 credit? Or the full 1170 credit?
Anyone ever tried this? Also where do you go?

We bought 5 day park hoppers last year from Orbitz (we got the promo buy 4 day get 5th free). We stayed at the DLH, so we exchanged our voucher upon checkin. Within the day hubby and I agreed that we should get annual passes for the fam. We took our park hoppers to the ticket window in front of the parks and upgraded to APs. We got the full value of a 5 day park hopper applied toward the APs, not the discounted value we paid.

I have heard it can go both ways when you are upgrading discounted tickets. I don't know if the fact we had the actual ticket vs voucher with amount paid on it made a difference. Remember, you have until your last day to upgrade.

We also received the gate value vs. amount paid through Orbitz when we upgraded this year. Same when we upgraded our AAA tix the last 2 years. Based on my experience and numerous reports here, I honestly think it's more the norm than the exception though I am always prepared to lose the discount.

There have been people who have speculated that if you use the ticket at least once, you will be credited the full ticket amount when you upgrade. However, the only time I have upgraded a ticket was when I got a 5 day hopper through Airmiles and then upgraded it to an AP. I was credited the full $ amount of the 5 day hopper towards the cost of the AP and no, I did not use the hopper first.
