Upgrading hotel upon arrival?

I have heard of people upgrading to the Disneyland Hotel upon their arrival and some even for free and I was wondering, is this possible? and if so how do you upgrade/how much is it?

I think we may upgrade if we can and if it isn't too expensive. We're booked in for NPB though.

I've never known anyone to be upgraded for free unless the hotel was fully booked. You could pay to upgrade on arrival but it will be at rack rate which isn't cheap, the Sequoia lodge runs at roughly €280 a night in the low season, that's without breakfast or passes.

I agree, you'll only be upgraded to another hotel if yours is fully booked and you can't be accommodated there and this is very rare. If you wanted to upgrade to the DLH you'd be far better to do it before you went, if you wait until you get there it will be a lot more expensive because like Nikki said they'll use the rack rate and not allow for any offers.
