Upgrading Halfboard Vouchers

Sorry I didn't see your reply before I asked this on my other thread.

What about the other way around? If you are handed back a kids voucher, but don't have an adult voucher left, could you have a meal for the whole family in, say Walts, and use the child voucher to reduce the bill and just pay the rest in cash?

Yes, you can. Well, that's what I understood anyway from what the lady at the Steakhouse told me :)

Yes, I would think so. They don't say on them that you have to use a certain amount / combination, so i imagine it would be fine.

Thanks guys, you've both been a great help. Just ignore this question in my other post. I should've asked my other questions here and not done 2 threads, my head's very pickled at the moment :rolleyes1

Can anyone confirm this? If that is the case it could actually be better to get Premium vouchers, use them in cheaper restaurants (perhaps only needing 1 adult and one or two children's vouchers) then using what is left of the vouchers for lunch (a full board plan!!!!)..... until they change the price of vouchers to reflect the new exchange rate then these half board vouchers could become the European equivalent of disney dollars. :rotfl:

This is exactly what I'm thinking. We're there for 6 full days with 5 nights vouchers, so I'm trying to figure out the best way to maximise voucher usage :rotfl:

Will be fantastic if it works like this.

My other thought is when will disney/ the travel companies change the price of the half board vouchers to reflect the exchange rate? At the moment they will be losing money (OK, making less profit than before:laughing: ) selling us, for example, 25 euros worth of half board plus for £18. All brochures seem to run until the end of March/Early April..... I presume prices will change for holidays after that??????

I have just dug my vouchers out - this is what it says on them (a child's voucher):

HALF BOARD PREMIUM MENU - to be presented at the Restaurant Entrance

Menu meal exchange valid per child in the restaurants stated below for 1 main, 1 dessert or buffet and 1 non alcoholic 25cl drink. This meal voucher is also valid for the same menu in every DLPR table service or buffet restaurance except RC, PH, KLC. Any alteration must be paid at the cashier dest, no change is given.

BBWWS (2nd category), CM, CG, I, MR, AdeC, BL, Walt's.

This is everything in english that is on the voucher - there are no terms or conditions. Hope you understand the abbreviations....!

Go for the upgrade....you know you want to!

Yeah I would imagine it'll have increased by the time the next brochure is out. Although you can book further than that online. I wonder if you booked hb vouchers that way if it would still be the price it is now :confused3
