Does anyone know how much it would be to upgrade our halfboard vouchers from plus to premium for 4 of us (2 adults + 2 kids)?

Do you think it would be worth doing this? The way the £/€ is at the moment, it was definitely worth our while going for plus, but was thinking we might get more for our money if we go for the premium.

It depends whether you're going to eat at any of the 'premium' restaurants or not. We ate at Inventions & California Grill (and also Steakhouse), so for us it was worth the upgrade. It cost us £96 (or thereabouts) to upgrade and we're also 2 adults, 2 kids.

I just upgraded for 2 adults, was like £75 or so.

I think its definitely worth it as we'll be eating at California grill and inventions and either walts of cafe mickey. :)

Will save us loads of money!

I think if you are planning on eating at the premium resturants then yes.

If not then maybe it be better to stick to HB plus.

Thanks for the replies. Has anyone got a link to the page with the restaurants for half board premium? I can only find standard and plus on the DLP website :confused3

We're planning to eat at:

Cafe Mickey's
Agrabah Cafe
Auberge
Rainforest Cafe (obviously not with HB vouchers though)

and one more that we've not decided yet. We were just going to go with the half board plus and pay any extras, but with eating at these places I'm not sure what the better option is?

If we got the premium, would 1 voucher each cover the Auberge, or would we still have to use more than one/pay extra?

I thought I had all this sorted out and it's just confusing me now :rotfl:

1 voucher each for Auberge and the same for Cafe Mickey (if you order from the set menu)

You cant use HB vouchers in the Rainforest cafe.

Yeah that's what I meant. We'll be having a meal in the RFC one night so we'll have an extra voucher each from that night that we can use one lunch time, meaning we can have 2 great meals in one day (if our tummy's can handle it :rotfl: ). Sorry, I didn't word that well further up lol.

I really want to eat in the RFC but the exchange rate has ruined that for me.

Yeah we're still in 2 minds aswell. The whole money thing is really depressing eh? We've been quite lucky that loads of folk gave the kids £s/€s for christmas, so they've got a lot of spending money of their own, meaning that the money we've saved will be purely for food and the odd little extra. I think we'll book RFC for the last night and see how the money goes for the rest of the time.

It's depressing though coz we really watched our money last time and waited till the last day to buy anything other than food and autograph books. I was determined that this time would be different, but even though we've saved a lot more spending money, it's going to be worse than last time :scared1:

I'm waiting till the last day to buy anything as i dont want to end up with no money for food.

I think I will decide what to do about lunch on Monday when i actually arrive.

We ate in Cafe Mickey on the last day of our trip a couple of weeks ago.

We had the Premium vouchers but didn't order from the set menu, we just chose what we wanted from the main menu.

When the bill came, we only needed to use 2 adult and 1 child Premium voucher (plus 40 cents!). We were given back one of the kids vouchers (15e worth) but as it was our last meal, we never got around to using this spare one so lost out there.

The moral of our trip would be to go to CM early in your trip as you may have an extra 15e voucher to spend or put with another meal.

This obviously depends on what you order from CM!

We were also given a child's voucher back at Inventions. They were running a promo that if you were seated between 6 and 7 in the evening, then you got a free kids buffet meal with each adult buffet meal. This was the best place we ate at during our stay, and the HB Premiums were well worth it!

Thanks a lot for that, definitely worth knowing. I think I read somewhere else about kids eating free at certain restaurants when seated before certain times.

Does anyone else have any more info on that?

Maybe, if we work it out carefully, we could get all our lunches and dinner with HB premium vouchers :confused3

If you have an extra kids voucher, can you use it without spending an adults one to go with it though?

Yeah, our kids ate free as well - their vouchers covered our wine :rotfl: (we didn't know about them eating free until we got the bill). We wasted 2 kids' vouchers - we had brunch at the Steakhouse on our last day and they gave us back the kids' vouchers and told us we could just use it at face value at any other restaurants. But because we were so full from lunch, we didn't fancy having any dinner before we boarded the train. So, that was 30 euros down the drain :sad2:

If you mean can you use 2 x adult and 3 x kids vouchers (for 2 adults/2 kids eating), then yes, you can. Infact, the guy in Inventions told us to do this. He also said that we could use it (a single childs Premium Voucher) to get some take-out supplies from the take-out place in Disney Village (can't remember its name!) just to use it up.

Yes, same for us! The waiter guy used one x kids Premium voucher in Inventions for 2 beers (14.90e for 2 beers!! :scared1: ). Thank god for the voucher!!

Sorry I didn't see your reply before I asked this on my other thread.

What about the other way around? If you are handed back a kids voucher, but don't have an adult voucher left, could you have a meal for the whole family in, say Walts, and use the child voucher to reduce the bill and just pay the rest in cash?
