Upgrading Give/Get a Day - 3/4 day hopper - AP?

If DD & I can find a Give/Get a Day prior to our early July visit will we be able to upgrade that to a 3/4 day hopper (of course) and then upgrade that to an AP (after we've used our MM *we'd get an MM right?? ~ and making sure we're not dealing with block out days) *we'd get the Deluxe. Or can you only upgrade once?

Just remember that if you have to upgrade at GATE PRICE.
Yesterday a couple of us noticed that sometimes your $72 ticket only actually saves you about $5 if using it to upgrade.

For instance a 4 day hopper gate price is $229.
You can get a 4 day hopper on special for $161.
$229-$72 is $157 - savings of $4 by doing volunteer work.

I did volunteer stuff and would say what we did cost me about $20 - my actual savings per ticket over the special price ended up being only $5 each.
Now, that is not saying we didn't have fun doing the volunteer stuff and that it is the ONLY reason we did it - its not like that at all, but if you look at it purely financial, its not the greatest deal.
I plan to buy our hoppers at the special price and use the vouchers for fastpasses because we are going in a really busy season. So we helped someone out, and won't have to wait in lines.
