Upgrading from value to moderate after ressie is made?

I have already reserved a room at All Stars Music Nov 3-8 with a deposit of one night. We booked there because we got the great rate of $49 per night. However, there was a Disney post card in the mail today with a rate of $79 or POR! Will I be able to upgrade from our confirmed ressie and still use the post card rate?

You should be able to. Last year I had the ASMO booked and then the 7/4 deal came out and we upgraded to CBR. They transferred everything over (it was paid for) and I paid the balance. It wouldn't hurt to call and see.

We recently switched resorts after the reservation was made, and they said it would actually be a new reservation. I got a cancellation confirmation in the mail as well as a new confirmed reservation (with a new number).
