Upgrading from premium to premiere?

Before being DVC members we had purchased premium annual passes at Disneyland, and upon visiting WDW we upgrade them to premiere passes valid for both parks. The upgrade was simply the difference in price between the two.

We're looking to now grab annual passes and take advantage of the discount, but were curious how the upgrade would work. Would the value of the premium annual pass still be the same and we'd simply pay the difference or would it essentially wipe out any discount we got off the premium pass?

You would pay the difference between what you paid for the PAP and the current price of the Disney Premier Passport.

In that case, is there any discount available online or in person for the premier annual pass for DVC members? It wasn't immediately discoverable online.

The DVC annual pass prices are considered their own class of tickets, they are not considered discounted off regular price, so there is no price bridging to the non-member price when upgrading.
