Hoping that someone might be able to help me out with a decision. I currently have a Premier AP that is coming up for renewal this month. I'll be visiting Disneyland twice this fall and WDW twice early next year so I will eventually need the Premier AP again.
There is no benefit to renewing my current Premier AP before I get to Disneyland at the end of August because there is no discount renew a Premier AP. If I renew just the Disneyland AP portion (as a Disneyland Premium AP), I get a $60 discount.
I know if I downgrade to the Disneyland only AP now, I can upgrade to a Premiere Pass in January when I head to WDW.
I have two questions:
1. When I upgrade to the Premiere pass at WDW in January do they calculate the difference I owe by subtracting the normal Disneyland AP price or by subtracting my discounted AP price. (in others words, is the discount useless)
2. Since I will be only be using the WDW portion of the premiere pass for half a year, is the cost pro rated when I upgrade at WDW in January? (I don't believe it is but that would seal the deal if it was)
Any advice would be appreciated!
