We will be going home Nov 2005 for just 3 days before we board the Wonder. We will return a week earlier in November 2006. I plan on purchasing annual passes. My question is this...I know that we will not need any of the "premium" options in the PAP in Nov 05 because we will only be there for 3 days. We will be taking a longer trip in Nov 06 (probably about 7-8 days) so we would use the "premium" options in the PAP then. Should I just purchase an AP for '05 and then upgrade for the '06 trip? Is this even possible to do?

The price difference is about $300 if I purchase the PAP right off the bat.

Thanks, Kim

You will end up being charged the same amount of money to upgrade to the PAP as you would have if you had purchased it in the beginning. Disney does not prorate AP upgrades. You will pay the entire difference in price when you upgrade even if you only have a week left on the AP. In your case with DVC discounts, you'd pay about $385 more (3 adult, 1 child) to do the upgrade for your 2006 week.

Depending on what you had planned on using the PAP for, you may find it will be cheaper for you to buy individual tickets to the water parks, DQ, etc. Remember too that the regular AP will get you slight discounts on the individual tickets to the minor parks.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't realize that the PAP couldn't be prorated.
