Upgrading DL ticket to AP ?

We are buying the Citypass ticket that gives you 3 days DL, 1 day SW, 1 day US, and 1 day zoo or wildlife park.

Can we upgrade the 3 day hopper for DL to an AP ? How much does it cost ?

I beleive it would have to be the deluxe AP since that one only has Saturdays for black out days.

We are going in Sept and again in Jan so we figure we can save money getting the AP if we can upgrade the tickets we get in Sept.

I haven't upgraded from the citypass tickets, and no one seems to come back and update, but about a year ago I remember reading that the city pass tickets are the same cost as the pre-purchase-from-disneyland.com. So if the 3 days cost 189 from disneyland.com ahead of time, that's what you would expect to be the upgrade value.

So go on your trip, take part in the Magical Morning on your park hopper (unless you're staying onsite, in which case you get MM through the hotel and you can do it at anytime barring blockout dates), go to the "bank" aka "AP place", and pay the difference, take the pictures, get your passes! Once you get them, don't forget to show it when buying food, b/c the deluxe AP gets you a 10% discount on most food. Premium gets you 15% off most food and 10% off most merchandise. Right now Deluxe is $259 and Premium is $379.

If you do this, please come back and update us, so we know we're telling the truth. (it's possible that the city pass people could tell you the "upgrade value" of the tickets if you were to call them)

You exchange your CityPass voucher and you get a Disneyland ticket. We used the CityPass in 2006. Though we didn't upgrade to an annual pass, I would be surprised if you would be unable too.
