We bought 5 day canadian tickets for WDW but now i realize we should have bought 6 days instead. Can i upgrade, and how much will it cost me? Wondering if I will be charge the difference from what i paid to current U.S. prices or if it will be treated like a regular 5 day pass so the upgrade will be minimal.

You will lose all of your realized discount --- they will only allow you the exact amount you paid for the tickets and then you will need to pay the difference between that and the current gate price for a 6 day ticket. Translated to a LOT!
Current 6 day ticket = $415.35 including tax
What i *think* you paid for a 5 day ticket $271.58 I *assume* this includes tax :confused3 (going from a post i dug up when the tickets were first being sold so not 100% sure)

Difference would be $143.77
The value applied to these tickets has been confirmed by many DISers who have been and tried to upgrade their passes. No question what we paid for them.

*** not sure if this will apply to you or not but worth thinking about if you really want another park day ..Depending on when you're going you could get a ticket to the Halloween party ON Halloween (the most $$ night) for $128.48 including tax
OR Christmas Party on the most expensive night for $116.09 including tax

Both of those tickets let you in the park sooner than the stated 7 p.m. start time (some chatter about this changing slightly) and there will be somewhat lower crowds.
There are many other things you could do with that money if you have extra time -- mini-golf, water park (open unless it is really cold), resort hopping, time in Disney Springs

Thanks for all the info. Unfortunately i thought this might be the case. We are there in November so the christmas party is a great suggestion to think about!
