upgrading base tix

I have purchased 2 adult and 2 child 1 day base tix as part of my package. Does anyone know if I can take the 2 children and one adult tix to upgrade only one adult tix once I arrive in WDW? In other words take the cost of the children and 1 adult tix and put it toward the cost of a 10 day P.H. and water park tix.
