Upgrading at the CR....

I am leaving tomorrow for 5 nights at the CR. I am booked in a Garden wing. But, would love to upgrade to the tower. Would it be better to call before I go or wait until I get there and ask at checkin? I know I will have to pay. But, wonder if I might get a better price by doing one or the other.

I think if I knew I really wanted it, then I would call CRO first. I think you might have better luck. If the call yields nothing, then it can't hurt to ask when you are checking in. At least you will know that you covered all the bases if you get stuck in the garden wings.

As far as price goes, I think you might get a better deal asking at check in -- who knows, you may get pixie dusted and get a free upgrade! But, that being said, I must add that it seems much riskier to wait until check in. I know I'd be too worried to wait if I had my heart set on an upgrade. If I didn't get it at check in, all I'd be thinking is "maybe I would have had I called".

I called to ask about moving to the tower and they had "none" available..I still plan to ask at checkin!
