Upgrading AP to PAP with only a week left?

Has anyone ever upgraded an AP to a PAP with only a short time left until expiration? We're squeezing in one last trip the week before our AP's expire, and are planning a Pleasure Island night. I considered trying to upgrade our AP's to PAP's instead of buying PI tickets (then we could also do a water park if I can talk DH into it). Would it be more expensive than I'm realizing? Or do you think they'll laugh us of out guest services for even asking?

Well I believe it's about $100 per ticket to upgrade. A trip to PI and a water park for 2 would cost you $200. Probably not a good deal. If you're going to do multiple trips to PI and water parks, maybe it would even out.

Thanks jarestel. I was thinking that they pro-rated the upgrade cost based on how much time was left before expiration, but I could be wrong about that. If it's the full price difference we won't try it since DH isn't really a swimmer and it's like pulling teeth to get him to a water park.

As far as I know they stopped pro-rating the upgrades a couple years ago.

That's just my luck! Oh well, at least we know that I wasn't completely nuts about the pro-rating. So much for my grand plan to coerce DH into a water park.
