Upgrading AP to PAP Questions

I read the ticket sticky. Here are my questions...

If I buy AP vouchers now to avoid possible price increase in June, how does upgrading to PAP at the park work?

Do I have to pay the difference between what I paid and the PAP, or do I pay the difference between the current value of the AP (after the increase) and the PAP?

Is it like upgrading from a multi-day ticket to an AP, where I would have to use the AP ticket to get the current value before upgrading to PAP?

Any info you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

First redeem the voucher (or will-call reservation or exchange certificate) for a regular AP. Then use it at least once. Then upgrade to a PAP.

You will have to pay the difference from what ou paid for your original ticket versus what the PAP is currently priced at when you upgrade.

Ok just want to make sure I have this right....since its a bunch of money. If I buy my Disneyland AP now online I will get a voucher? I won't be going to DL until January 2014 for tinker bell 1/2. I should use it one day when we get there in January then upgrade it to a PAP? I will then be going to wdw in February and October for sure, possibly even in July.


Is this right to lock in this years rate? Again won't be going until jan of 2014.
