Upgrading Annual Pass to Premium Pass Cost ??

Hi, we were able to get a great deal on our kid's tickets for our upcoming trip. They have water parks and more on their tickets and so we need to upgrade our DVC annual passes to DVC premium passes. These annual passes were renewel passes. So do I pay the difference between the renewal prices or the renewal to the original premium pass cost?

You only have to upgrade to a premium pass if you have used any of the water park admissions on the ticket you are upgrading. If you just have the option on your ticket, but have not actually used any admissions, you can still upgrade to a regular AP.

However if you still want to upgrade to a premium AP, you will pay the difference between the 2 renewals. Also, Disney will not prorate the cost.

That didn't quite answer my question, we have a DVC Discounted Annual Pass. We paid $377.01, that is the renewal price. I want to upgrade that to the Premium Annual pass on our trip in August. Do I have to pay the difference between the orginal cost $536.76 of a Premium pass or the renewal price of $494.16?

You have to pay the difference between the DVC cost of both (as "new) and it IS pro-rated. We did this last August with our little girl's ticket because the wife and I still had some entries on some non-expire MYW passes for the minor gates but our little girl wasn't even born when we bought them.

So If I am understanding this correctly I have to pay the orginal difference between the two passes. The orginal price is $424.94 for a discounted DVC annual pass, and the origan price for a Discounted DVC Premium Pass is $536.76. So I will have to pay $111.82 each to upgrade the passes I have to Premium passes.
