Upgrading an AP

Can an AP be upgraded to a higher level AP part-way through the year?
We have black-out dates with our passes and need to be able to go during the black-out period.

Yes. The cost is not prorated, your expiration date will remain the same, and your monthly payments (if using the monthly payment plan) don't change - you pay the full difference at time of upgrade.

Just want to add that if it is more than 60 days before your renewal date it has to be done in person at WDW. You can't upgrade it over the phone. I think that is completely stupid. I have a Silver Pass that expires in November and needs to be upgraded to Gold for a summer trip. I have to make a special trip the first weekend of April just so I can book FP+ for our trip starting 6/3.

I thought the Gold still had the same black-out dates as the silver?

Gold only has Easter & Christmas blocked out.

OMG!! Thank-you for that! I just saw that there were black-out dates, and I assumed they were the same as those for the Silver Pass!
I didn't actually look at the dates!! You just saved me quite a bit of money!!
