Upgrading/adding extra room at HHI

I have rented points for a 9 night studio stay at HHI in October/November (coming from the UK). Since making the booking my eldest daughter has found work in Orlando and would like to join us for 3 nights in the middle of the trip. I will have my younger 3 kids with me so there will be no room in the studio. I don't know whether I can upgrade to a 2 bedroom villa for 3 nights and pay the difference in cash (or points), or whether it would be better to add on another studio. It would be cheaper in points to get another studio (subject to someone having 24 points to rent to me) but I can't find a cash price on the Disney website. I suppose there might be a problem with availability now for Nov 1 - 4. Any advice would be appreciated.

I doubt there will be any problem with availability at that time of year.

Check with MS on Monday and see what the cash prices are for that time period. I think they're pretty low.

To be honest with you, if you're there for 9 nights, I'd see about changing my reservation to book the 2 BR for as long as I could and cash for the rest.

The 2BRs there are really great -- for that long of a stay, I think you'd enjoy it a lot more...

Chances are very good that you can find availability in a 2BR villa on points for that time period- probably much better than getting a second studio. (There are only 21 studios but there are 76 2BR's at the resort.)

I'd call MS on Monday and see what happens.

Check with the member to see if you can rent the additional points and change your reservation. It's possible you'll have to move from one unit to another but who knows at that time of year.
