Upgrading a PowerPass on flexpay to a Preferred?

...they just didn't know. When I asked her about it, she couldn't really explain it, and it seemed to me that the TM hadn't explained it.

That's too bad. :sad1: I wonder if TM's aren't properly trained to explain the different options? Granted, there ARE a dizzying number of ticket options, but still... They should be able to accurately explain the tickets and the terms of purchasing them using the flexpay plan!

I always thought that flexpay was a contract. Did they not receive any paperwork with information? I know there is some information on the website but I always assumed that there would be more fine print somewhere.

There isn't a huge different between the price of the power pass and the preferred. Just a few trips with parking and you are breaking even. I can see why they would be wishing they had purchased the other one.

Flexpay is definitely a contract, and yes they would have copies, I am sure, whether they kept them or not, though, as I have NO idea where mine is, LOL. Disney flexpay does allow you to upgrade, you have to pay the difference in full price (ie if you have seasonal pass on payment plan and are upgrading to full annual pass, and difference is say $200, you would have to pay the $200 up front for the change and your monthly payment would stay the same). I have that one too, actually. I don't believe you can put the Seaworld fun pass on the payment plan, the minimum there is the standard annual pass, but you can add extra parks midyear, it just starts your "year" over at the new rate. For example, we started with SeaWorld and Busch Gardens on ours, this summer, (year would have ended October) we opted to add a water park on, so our rate went from $13 pp to like $17 pp each month, and our year started over in July.

It might have been possible to upgrade if only one person was on the contract. Guest Services would be able to cancel the contract and then issue a new contract with a Preferred pass. They normally don't cancel a contract but would most likely do that for you if you were willing to do a brand new contract making the deposit on the new contract at the same time. The problem with that is that your family has more than one Annual Pass on that contract. I hope this makes sense.
