Hoping someone with experience of upgrading from an admission ticket to an Annual Pass can help explain how this works. It's a bit odd situation, so hopefully I explained myself clearly enough.

I have already planned to go to DLR for the MHP in October with my GF for 3 days, but unexpectedly my work has asked me if I was interested in going to a work conference at the Disneyland Hotel later this month for 3 nights as well. I took the opportunity because it's company's travel expense and an opportunity to expand my skills at work. And the kicker is that the company might also pay for a park ticket for team building and I was wondering if I could use this as an opportunity to upgrade the ticket to an Annual Pass.

The tickets are not the traditional admission tickets you get at the ticket booth, it's from the Disneyland Hotel's "disneyconventionear" site and they're called "Convention Twilight" (half day tickets towards the end of the day) and "Convention" admission tickets for regular and park hoppers (regular full day admission).

Have anyone heard of these tickets? Do you think either of these tickets are eligible for an upgrade to an annual pass? I'm hoping they're official Disneyland Tickets that are eligibility. I'm also a California resident and the broken monthly payments look very appealing.

Thanks in advance!

Good luck, I do not think it can be done with "twight tickets."

I did not see anything on the Disneyland Convention Ticket website.
http://www.disneyconventiontickets.com/disneyland/parks/tickets/

I think you're best bet is to contact whoever at your company is organzing the convention and have them ask their Guest Services contact whether of not the tickets can be upgraded. Normally, the tickets will clearly state on them if they cannot be upgraded, but you would have to have the physical tickets in hand to read the fine print.

If there is a cost value on the tickets, I don't see why you couldn't upgrade them. I know that you can't use comp tickets (for instance, contest tickets or gifted tickets from a Club 33 member) but I think that anything with a printed value on it can be used.

I bought rundisney special tix from GET and their info stated firmly that I could not upgrade.

I looked up one seller in ebay that sells you the links to buy convention tickets and he states in the terms (Never ever buy that!)

*There is NO Magic Morning with these tickets and NO upgrades

I think you should call them directly to be sure.

Just following up on this topic incase anyone in the future is searching and looking for an answer too.

I got a reply from the Disney convention ticket program and all the tickets offered (twilight and convention tickets) are eligible for an upgrade for annual pass. I might take advantage of this.
