Upgrading 3 day PH & other related questions

We are spending 5 days at DLR in November. I purchased a 3 day PH at the Disney Store since we will probably arrive on property about 10:30-11:00 and don't want to waste much time before heading to the gates. It doesn't matter for that day, but we are staying at DLH so we want to make sure our EMH/MM is reflected on our tickets.

Can we upgrade the 3 day PH at the DLH desk or do we have to go to a ticket booth? And how will they know that we are staying on property to make sure our tickets reflect EMH/MM?

It doesn't matter what type of ticket you have if you're staying onsite. 3 day + tickets get 1 Magic Morning at DL. Onsite hotel guests get EE at whichever park it's offered at on that particular day, on each day of your stay, including check in and check out. Each member of your party will get a room key card with his/her name and dates of your stay printed on it. You show this at the gates to get access to early entry, along with your park ticket.

I'm not sure if they can upgrade passes at DLH, but you won't have to upgrade them until some time on your 3rd day, so you could do this at the ticket booth any time you see that there isn't a long lineup.
