Upgrades?

Has anyone gotten a hotel upgrade (and taken it) for next week?

Hi,

We are staying at the GF this Sunday for the night. Yesterday I received a Disney confirmation of the reservation and it was about $30 more than when I booked it. After further investigation it looked like our room was upgraded to a MK view from Lagoon. DH denied making the changes and when I called CS they were just as confused. She asked if I wanted to charge the extra money or return to Lagoon view. So I too the "?upgrade?".

Has this happen to anyone else before?? A friend works at WDW and he said an "Upgrade" is usually free, but maybe this was a tax difference?? He had no clue either.

Just to be safe, I'd print off the ressie info and be sure to take it with me. I remember reading a thread where a CM at check in was going to charge someone a much higher rate than what they had reserved and paid in full for , but thankfully they brought their documents with them, and it was resolved.

While I have been "upgraded" to better views, I've never been told until I checked in. If you got something in the snail or email, I'd print that out and take it along.

I printed it all out...but isn't an upgrade free?? Anyone know why the reservation might have cost me a little more??
