Upgrades when you have a room assignment?

Does anyone know what your chances are of getting an upgrade if you booked a room assignment instead of a guarantee? We booked 1 1/2 years ago in the secret porthole rooms that connect for 6-27.

We had a stateroom assigned from the moment I called DCL with my reservation in January & it stayed the same when we transferred it to our TA. We were upgraded in August for the 11/15 cruise.

We had a room assignment and even had our docs when I received a call from my DU TA telling me that we were upgraded from a cat 11 to a cat 6!

Hi,

For my birthday cruise in 11/2002 we were upgrade from an cat. 8 to a 5. We were using a TA!!
