Upgraded!!!!

TA just called to let us know we've been upgraded on our 10/5 Wonder cruise from our usual cat 9 to a cat 5!!!!!!! TA states DCL told him the reason was a combination of demand for cat 9's exceeding supply, as well as how many times we've cruised before....

DCL rules!!!!

We just "upgraded" ourselves today. I called and changed our Cat. 9 into a Cat. 6, but our cruise isn't until next summer. We're using All Seasons Travel and once again we've gotten excellent service

Can I ask if you also got the FL res. rate? We are going 10/12 and it was not offered on that sailing. No upgrade either. Bummer.

yes, we most definitely got the FL res rate for this cruise...I checked allseastravel.com and you are right...no FL res discount available...perhaps because of Columbus Day ....

I am so jealous!!!!

I believe no FL res. special because the ship was nearly full for that sailing when the rates came out. Now I bellieve it is sold out or nearly sold out. I am sure we will have a good time anyway. Congratulations on your upgrade. I hope some day to get one.

Demand for cat 9's, maybe, but upgrades don't have anything to do with how many times you've cruised before. We've cruised DCL 6 times, and even being on the waiting list, ready to PAY for an upgrade to cat 2 or 1, it hasn't happened. Granted, there are a lot more cat 5's than there are 1's and 2's.

Our good friends have also cruised 6 times with Disney without an upgrade. And I don't believe Barb and Tony have had many, if any... and that's after 35 DCL cruises. It's just luck of the draw.

But you can't blame the DCL agent for implying that - they want you to believe it!
