Upgraded to S&D

We were upgraded last night to the Swan and Dolphin from POR for our Disney cruise. It was up to us if we wanted to take this upgrade. Anyways, I love POR (stayed there 2 other times). I'm excited about trying something new even though I hesitated taking the upgrade. My question is, tell me what you like/dislike about S&D (we are staying in the Dolphin). I have to be honest, anytime I ever drove by the S&D I said I would never stay there because I didn't care for the looks of it. Convince me that I was being foolish. Thanks for your help. Also, does it really only take 10 minutes to walk to MGM & Epcot.

Dolphin and POR are owned by different companies so I'm confused about your upgrade. I'm guessing your travel agent is arranging things? The Dolphin is great and has many fans here. The location is fantastic.

They have a special $99 rate I believe for Disney Cruisers. Maybe this is why your agent is "upgrading" you. If that is the case, then the agent should just tell you the facts.

It is because we are booked on the cruise that this was offered. Disney called my TA and asked if we wanted a complimentary upgrade to the S&D. I am not getting upgraded on the cruise. They said the reason why they are offering this is because they need the room at POR. We leave in three weeks so I am trying to do some crash research on S&D. I added an extra night before the cruise and am paying $162 for that extra night. Couldn't get a better rate than that even though I asked about the $99.

What do I dislike? - Nothing. My resort of choice is the Swan.
