We just made the decision to upgrade our reservation to Poly CL. I'm excited, but I'm also nervous that we won't enjoy it enough for the extra money. We've been to Disney over 100 times and never stayed CL. Please tell me if the Poly CL is worth it? Is the food good? Can you take the snacks and drinks to your room?

Thanks.

We were upgraded to Poly Concierge for my wife's birthday stay. It was really, really nice. ::yes:: I do believe you can take the snacks and drinks to your room, but we always enjoyed ourselves there with the great view. The chef who is sometimes there is really interesting to speak with.

If they have the caramel sauce, get it by the bowlful! ;) I don't like sweets generally, but that stuff was addicting!

You'll have a great time. ::yes::

It is an amazing treat to be able to stay club level. We were upgraded once by surprise, but couldn't afford to book it until this upcoming trip. You will love it!

We liked the club level at the Poly a lot. The food was really tasty, and it was so nice to just be able to run down there and get a drink after coming back from the parks. It was also handy to have breakfast there. We're staying CL at WL on our next trip. I think if we were doing the dining plan it wouldn't be as big of a thing for us, but just for the ease of having breakfast, drinks and snacks, it is nice.

We absolutely LOVED Poly Club Level! The view from the lounge is gorgeous! You can see the castle, fireworks, and the water pageant. The food was great too. We used it alot during our stay last August. It was great a night to be able to sit in their and enjoy drinks and desserts while they dimmed the lights and piped in the MK Wishes music during the fireworks. The lounge is also super convenient. All poly club level rooms are in a secure building and you just walk down the hall to the lounge. The lounge is two stories and we would walk in from the upper floor then down the stairs in the lounge to the "food area". You are able to take snacks and drinks to your room also, but it was so pretty/relaxing in the lounge that we mostly just enjoyed them there. My kids (age 8 and 6) still talk about "Concierge" and how much they liked it! We are thinking about trying Beach Club Club Level this spring, but I know we will miss the Poly Club Level Lounge View! Enjoy your trip!
:)

In December 2007 my family and I stayed Club Level at the Polynesian and we thought it was great, so I am sure you will enjoy it. Also you can take food and drinks back to your room if you don't feel like eating in the lounge.

This is all great to hear..we just had to switch from AKL CL to POLY CL for our Dec trip and was worried we would not like it as much!

I agree with everthing here about the Poly. My kids still talk about it too. It was priceless. Magical!:wizard:

I agree with all said.

Let me add the lounge is a great escape. It gives you breathing room after a long day or when things get, uh, tense in the room and a little extra elbow room is needed. Plenty of space, views are outstanding and by themselves can bring sanity back to your trip. And the convenient location is unsurpassed. Nothing like a quick night time hop to MK with hot cocoa or latte from the lounge. Then, trying to decide between the monorail back, or a leisurely boat ride back across at midnight.

ps - make sure to enjoy an orange/guava drink while checking in!

I got upgraded to CL my very first stay at the Poly and it spoiled me for life!! They will book your ADRs for you too and last year they got me Le Cellier for dinner with no problems.

I'll be back this September.:thumbsup2

we willtaying there for the 1st time in September I can't wait

oh and it looks like we will be there the same time as the person who posted right above me!

We always stay at the Poly and this Dec will be our first club level stay. We are so looking forward to it. Check out the Poly thread and you will find loads of information about the Poly and club level offerings.

We also got Le Cellier and Citricos booked through the CL concierge. The learn your names and greet you warmly every time you enter the Hawaii building. Also, I noticed no one mentioned one of my favorite parts about CL. You can get anything you buy sent directly to your room!:goodvibes We loved having free water and snacks available after a long day at the parks. I admit it did spoil us rotten. I'd do it again but I can't afford it:confused3

We are just trying decide whether to book the theme park view with club level versus lagoon view with club level. Any one know the difference or what houses they are in?:confused3

If you make a Club Level reservation you would be staying in the Hawaii Longhouse. Now as for the difference between the views the Theme Park one will be of Cinderella's Castle and the Lagoon View will be of Seven Seas Lagoon.

CR Fan is right -- you'll be in the Hawaii longhouse facing the lagoon. If you want to see the exact rooms and their categories, checkout tikiman's website -- it shows a diagram of Hawaii with all the room categories colored in.;)

Honestly, for the $$$ difference, I would have chosen the LV except that they were all taken with our discount, so TPV was quite a bit less money for me.

The very first time we walked into the lounge in the Hawaii Bldg, my granddaughter saw the castle across the bay and began jumping up & down squealing "The Castle! The Castle!" That in itself was enough to convince me that we'll be staying there again!
Not to mention the wonderful food and drinks; the friendly & helpful CL staff, monorail location, etc.....
I could go on & on - but I'm sure you get the idea!
Have a great time!

We stayed Poly GV CL in November 09 (click on my thread for tons of pics and full reviews of the resort, lounge, room and food offerings in the lounge). We had a 40% off code so that was great. The food offerings were ok, the staff are wonderful!

What soured our stay was the Thanksgiving people that moved in halfway through our trip and made a huge mess of the lounge, hogged all the food and wine, let their non CL staying family members in the lounge and were sooo loud all the time, running and screaming up and down the halls or in the rooms.

Would we do it again? I dont know, I missed having the MK view like we had at Tuvalu and I would much rather spend the extra money on that than the CL frills but DH loved the CL lounge so I guess we would flip a coin HA HA
