We are so excited with the visa deal they offered we got to upgrade from ASM to CSR we have never been to any but AS resorts so it will be new and exciting . But we know those resorts so well it will be an adjustment to go learn the tricks at a new one! But for only 13.00  a day extra I think we can learn! Going Nov 28-Dec 7th Any suggestions or help on csr would be great or saying we made the right choice to upgrade. Already got alot of info from Buzz on the csr many thanks !
cant wait:santa: :santa:

WE loved CSR, great pool, great bus service, a bit big but so BEAUTIFUL, hope you enjoy it

I'm not sure if this will matter to you or not, but do you think you will be headed to the main building more or the main pool more? You might want to request a certain building and/or request to be moved depending on where you are put.

We were in Rancho's 7b for instance and it was quite far from both the main pool and even farther from the main building. We didnt' use the main pool every day, but we DID use the main building. So we should have moved closer to it when we were offered the chance..

We are currently booked at POP, but I also have a second reservation on hold until Thursday at CSR for Nov. 30 - Dec. 7. I was curious how good of a VISA deal YOU were able to get at CSR...I didn't think mine was that great that is why it is "on hold." My package was 7 nights, MYW w/PH and WP, and dining for 2adults and 1child = $2528. It was $400.00 more than POP reservation without ANY discount!!! Did you get anything better than mine? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

we upgraded to POR from Pop! We are only staying for 3 nights so it only cost us an addition $14. :cool1: Not bad to try out a moderate for the first time.:thumbsup2

Woohoo.. I already had what I considered a pretty good rate (or so I thought) at POP, but from what I could tell my upgrade to CSR was about 1/2 what I had initially thought before the codes came out. Make sense? So I wound up paying more, but less then it would normally have cost me.

Anyway, bottom line I'm geeked about being at CSR now!

Have a great time!! :thumbsup2

I also took the Visa discount code, but I had to move from PO-FQ to CSR. I have 2 adults, 1 16 year old and 1 8 year old. We are staying 6 nights, and have 7 day park hoppers with DDP. Cost around $2,500.

My family loved CSR...it's large, but the buses were quick, the pool was fun, and it didn't feel crowded. We are going back next year and can choose wherever to stay--and we picked CSR!!

I switched from POP to CSR for my December trip and I'm thrilled. I love it there and at Christmas time it is especially beautiful. This will be my third year in a row at CSR the second weekend in December, guess it's becoming a tradition!

Awesome! Have a great trip!

Congrats to all that upgraded! Enjoy your trips!!! You'll love CSR!! Best of all the mods!!

I just upgraded from AS Sports to the CSR and added 2 days to my trip and 2 extra days of park admission with the hopper and saved a little money. My husband will be surprised when I tell him.

To the original poster:
We will be there 11/30-12/5- see you there hopefully!!

Any tips or info would be great as this is our first time staying there.

I know it is a rather large resort with the convention center included. There are different busses as well or is there only one stop for the park busses to take you to and from the parks?? Help as I am confused....

There are 4 stops for the resort. Read buzz's site about the bus stops. IIRC the park busses start at stop #2, then 3 then 4 then 1, which is el centro (check in area) that is so folks can actually take the bus to the check in without having to walk the whole way. On return to the resorts, they start at 1 (el centro) then 2, 3, and 4. I think I did that right, but check out his site which is great!

I'm new to all of this. Can someone tell me how I can get a deal using my Disney Visa? Is it as simple as calling up Chase and asking what is out there? Thank you.

park exit buses and downtown Disney buses go bus stop 1, 2, 3, and then 4.
