Upgraded to AKL for our Feb trip!!!!

Hi All,

I just had to share. We have stayed at the AKL twice before in pool view rooms and just loved this resort. This past Aug we stayed at the Dolphin because the only room that we could get at the AKL cheaper then what we were paying at the Dolphin was a standard view room and we did not want to run the risk of being on the walkway to the bus stop.

So when we came back from our Aug trip we decided we could not wait until Sept 2003 to go back to the World again so we booked a trip for the begining of Feb 03. We booked a moderate because we are leaving for Toronto in a few days and we were not sure if we could afford a four day Toronto trip and a WDW deluxe rsort trip within two months of each other.

Well I over budgeted for our Toronto trip by about $1,000 so today I just upgraded us from a standard view room at CSR with and AP rate to a savanna view room at AKL with an AP rate. I have my request in for the "Arusha Savanna" and a medical request for a non-smoking room.

I am so exicted about going back to the AKL that I just had to share with people that I know would understand how I felt. Thanks for listening.

Tiffany, you're making me jealous! The AKL is my favorite resort, *sigh.* Have a magical vacation. February will be here before you know it!

Thanks Misti and Janet2K. I am just so excited. I wish I was going to WDW in a couple of days but instead I am going to Toronto so my husband can fullfill his dream of seeing the Hockey Hall of Fame. What we don't do for our husbands

Tiffany, you're right about the husbands -- what we have to do to keep them happy. However, the reverse also holds true -- they need to keep us wives happy by joining us in WDW, eh?!

Do you have a particular floor at the AKL that you prefer? Are you going to make Jiko's or Boma's reservations? Tell us what you have planned for your new AKL stay.

Well, the floor is not that important to us as much as the savanna. I like the wildebeast(sp?) and the zebra and they are only on the Arusha Savanna. So I put my request in for that.

We are pretty plain eaters but I am thinking about trying Boma's this trip.
