Our holiday car!

Just paid off the balance today & Gavin couldnt resist!

Anybody had a 4wd? We are assuming it's the grand cheep cheeroke 'cos that's what the lady said it probably would be, Gavin cant wait!

We always hire a Grand Cherokee from Dollar. I drive a 4x4 at home and we need the extra space, especially with three children. Our Grand Cherokee never have the built-in satnav, though

We had a jeep laredo last years and have the same this year they are great,

We would book one for next year but virgin dont seem to do suv from the uk

we have got one booked for this year though lol

Car Rental places vary in which SUVs they carry and what they have available. However, don't expect anything too flash (and you wont be disappoints).

Our Grand Cherokee never have the built-in satnav, though

As Frances999 says, you wont get built in satnav etc. Some hire companies (i.e. Hertz) have satnav as an option, but then it is the standard Hertz "bolt on" satnav. We always get satnav because means that we can find ANYWHERE wirth the minimum of hassle

SUVs are good - although we only normally have them when we ski (since you tend to NEED 4WD in the snowy Rockies...)

Last year we upgraded to a Dodge Caravan (Chrysler Voyager) and its now our dream car!

we had suv last trip and have booked one again this trip, dh has been trying to save up to buy one over here
it was genuinely the nicest car i have ever driven, however the boot is not as big as you might think, and what we got easily into our estate here did not fit so easily over there.

We upgraded to a Jeep both last year in Florida and this year in California and they are great This year it had an even bigger engine a 4.7l v8, which was handy for the mountain roads.

You will usually get the basic model and need to pay extra for the satnav versions. Even if just the basic model they are very good and hold loads of luggage
