You might not get a new set of tags in the mail. Don't use the old ones. If you don't get new tags in the mail, then a luggage handler will tags your luggage at the port.
The tags also have a scan code, so they might get sent to a different staging location and take longer to get to your stateroom. It's better to have the porter add tags at the port.
I miss the communication with DCL Makes you feel welcome No Blue welcome envelope either. Sometimes, it's the little things that keep you coming back and what you are used to. We;re not about bells and whistles.

Actually, if they scan the code it should automatically update with the new stateroom. Handwritten tags from the porter may take longer because it then becomes manual.
Similar situation on my last cruise. I changed our stateroom about a month before the cruise, we got our luggage tags with our old room number. I called DCL to get new tags but was told they couldn't do that.
I ended up crossing out our old room number and putting the new room number on with a Sharpie. The barcode goes to your reservation, so if the tags are scanned your new room number will show up. The room number is to help the stewards place them at the right room.
When we boarded, we told our room steward about the room change. We told him our old room number in case the luggage was misdirected, but we got our luggage just fine.
My advice is to use your existing tags and just put your new room number on them. You will get them!
