upgrade???

Another question. I have been reading that alot of people have had upgrades to their cruise. How does that happen? Do you have to request one or do they surprise you with it? I am fantasizing that my cat 4 may become a cat 3. LOL. I did not get an upgrade with our 1st cruise. What is the secret?

There is no secret and my suggestion would be if you are going to be disappointed with your Cat 4, book a Cat 3 now. Complimentary upgrades do happen, but they are few and far between. No one yet has figured out the logic behind DCL upgrades, though a few have some good theories. Bottom line is don't expect one.

You really should not book a category in hopes of being upgraded because then you are setting yourself up for disappointment if the upgrade does not happen.

You can pay for upgrades at the port at check in which seems to be cheaper than doing ahead of time.
