Hello !

Is it possible to upgrade your hotel from inside the park?

I mean we have booked the Cheyenne for our January trip and we are really looking forward to it.

But will there be any chance to ask them at the arrival, if we can upgrade to the Sequila Lodge?

If I do so now, it would be very expensive, because I have booked the Cheyenne with 40% and Kids free.

I think you can only do so in advance

If you ask to upgrade your hotel when you arrive, you won't get any discount at all, you'll have to pay the rack-rate price for the new hotel. It will be very expensive.

we did it once and went from cheyenne to SL. it was fairly expensive but doesnt hurt to ask

Another thought - if the Sequoia Lodge doesn't have a percentage discount right now, that doesn't mean it won't - Disney bring out offers on their website frequently, so keep checking, the price for the Sequoia Lodge could come down before your trip.

Ok...thank you.

By the way:

Would an upgrade from Cheyenne to SL be worth the money ?

:confused3

it depends really - if you enjoy the Cheyenne, and like to have bunk beds in the rooms, then it might not be worth it. But the SL has a pool, and a great bar area with a roaring fire, very wintery :).

Well...my two daughters love sleeping in bunk beds and I guess I can go to the SL bar even as a Cheyenne guest.

I don´t think that I really use the pool that much. Even not in January.

Changing to SL from Cheyenne was a real nightmere for us as my boys refused to sleep togheter and we had to sleep one night each with each boy as one of them had very turbulent sleeps and when my partner slept with him he ended up sleeping on the floor.
No more LOL

An "old" thread from me but due to the weather conditions a new "old" question.

With all the snow out there, which hotel will be better to handle? Cheyenne or SQL?

I´m at the Cheyenne with my 2 daughters and with all the snow out here it could be nicer to stay in one building (SQL) rather than in a hotel room outside the main buildung (Cheyenne).

I know that an upgrade coulde be impossible or very expensive, but what should I do if it could be possible when I´m asking them.

:santa:

Definitely in this case Sequoia as long as you are in the main building.

At Cheyenne all the rooms are in outside buildings so you would have to go outside every time you want to go the shop, bar, restaurant, reception.
each of these do run into each other ie you dont have to go outside to get from the reception to the bar you can just cut through the shop but it still means going outside.

Also the SL is a nicer hotel to hang round in if you do need to spend more time in it. Its also a slightly shorter walk to the parks

Agree with that - only time we have stayed at SL, we were not in the main building and we thought the 'out buildings' were similar to the Cheyenne and Sante Fe in appearance and we were towards the back towards Newport Bay and in fact it seemed just as long a walk to the parks as SF and Cheyenne. It was also December and we didnt use the pool.

Hoping that we get a 'main building Montana room' for our March trip - but this is the one we won, so beggars can't be choosers.

I would agree with the SL, we were there at the begining of the month with a lot of snow on the ground and not having to leave the building for breakfast was great.

Just remember that from next year the Montana rooms move to the newly refurbished lodges and the rooms in the main hotel become standard rooms.

The Montana rooms will revert back to the main hotel buidling once the refurbishemnt of the hotel is completed.
