Hi,

I just booked the Polynesian for the first 2 nights of our stay before going to OKW. I'm wondering if it is worth it to upgrade to the gv concierge...What do you get (sorry - the search wasn't working for me - I'm sure it's been listed 1000 times) and do you have luck with, say, getting a PS at Cinderella's Table? That would be great to do while we're there since it would be so easy to get there and I have not had luck calling 3 other times...

Thanks,
Kristen

Poly Concierge rooms are the same, but you get a small fridge in your room. The lounge has bottled water, soft drinks, coffee, and juice all day. They provide a Continental breakfast and various snacks throughout the day and evening. Check out the Tikiman's site for more thorough info.

I have always heard that the Poly has an excellent concierge. One of these days I will get to try it out.

From the official WDW website regarding the Poly:

- - - - - - -
Concierge Service

Some rooms offer concierge service, which includes personalized front desk and guest services, robes, phone in bath area, data port on phone, coffeemaker (upon request), pantry service (upon request), turndown service, and lounge with continental breakfast, midday snacks, evening hors d'oeuvres, and evening cordials and dessert.

Will they get you Cindy's PS reservations? Maybe yes & maybe no. They will certainly try, however, but nothing is guaranteed.

I don't know how many are in your party, but it was worth it for us to be in concierge. Between breakfast, waters, drinks, snacks and the appetizers at night, it saved us a TON of $$. We have picky eaters for kids, so we would make dinner of the appetizers for ourselves, the kids would have the sandwiches from the concierge lounge, or something from the snackbar.
We had 5 in our party, so the money saved with the items mentioned above really offset the price of the room, and we felt so pampered!!
If you can get the concierge with the new code, it's even MORE worth it!
Have fun!

:)

Thanks for the replies! I was looking at a rate that was only $30 more than the rate I have - but that was in value season. It would be about $75 more per night, and I have 2 young kids who barely eat! We'll probably save it for another trip....

Thanks!

Kristen
