Upgrade to Mod for $80 ?

For 2 nights only, would you switch from Pop to a mod for $40/night ?

And if so, which would you recommend ? Travelling in mid-May with DW and DS (3) and was thinking about POR or POFQ as they're supposed to be a little more compact and therefore a little less walking for DS to get around the resort. Only thing that concerns me is some of the construction there (food court I believe) and was wondering what you guys thought.

I have stayed at both Pop, POR and POFQ (and a few Deluxes, but that isn't your question ) Personally, I MUCH prefer the Moderates over the Values, BUT, for only 2 nights . . . I'd just stick with a Value. The Values are very nice (for the price) and extremely clean and functional. And your 3 year old will love all the colorful icons. If it was for a week stay, and at only $40. more a night, I would go with a Moderate, but with only 2 nights, you will probably be spending alot of time at the parks. Have fun whatever you decide.

We have stayed at the value resort several times, the POR,POF and the deluxe resorts. Of course my pick is the Poly. When you have children it is so much easier to have the monorail. We have twins age 10 and a 12 year old and even at their age it is much easier. I do love the value resorts. You will have a great time at any of the value resorts. Have you been to Disney before? I've stayed at many resorts over the years and we LOVED POP the last time !!!!You'll love it ..it's clean and bright with piped in music from the 50's- 90's !!!

As for a Moderate, your son may like CBR...pirates and all !!!

Yes, I've been there a few times, and twice with DW (got engaged last time we were there in 2001), but this will be our first trip with DS (3). Stayed off-site the first time with DW (at Vistana - loved it and would recommend checking out reviews), then stayed at YC on the last trip in 2001. I'm still on the fence on whether to switch or not. I'm leaning towards doing the upgrade just trying to see which mods are available. Guessing that after I upgrade to a mod I'll start another thread asking if it's worth $80 to upgrade from a mod to a standard room at AKL for $80.........

I think the son would LOVE the Values more than a Mod. As soomeone else posted, for two nights I would stay at the Value.

I think your DS will have more fun with the Values, but also just for the record, POR is quite spread out (we got lost there more than once!). If you were going to upgrade, I'd suggest POFQ - it's smaller and has a fun pool.
