I hope I have the right place in the forum for this question!
for our WDW trip in sept, we're going 14 days - we have the free dining promo/package -10 day tickets

I know we're going to go back in January for sure so I was was thinking about upgrading to APs when we're there. So I have a few questions. Do we go to the desk towards the end of our trip (if I go first thing, do I loose free dining?) it's 4 of us (2 adults & 2 kids - 3 & 4) how do I figure out how much of a difference it will be to upgrade to APs? I've been looking around and I can't seem to find info.

ANY response will be helpful so thanks in advanced!

1. Do we go to the desk towards the end of our trip
2. (if I go first thing, do I loose free dining?)
it's 4 of us (2 adults & 2 kids - 3 & 4)
3. how do I figure out how much of a difference it will be to upgrade to APs? I've been looking around and I can't seem to find info.

1. You can upgrade almost immediately.
BUT- Be sure to USE your original Resort Package tickets at least one time to enter a theme park BEFORE you do the upgrade. (If you have Water Park Fun and More tickets, if you use any of those WPF&M options before you upgrade, you can ONLY upgrade to a Premium AP.)

2. No.

3. A. Look at cost of a new 10-day ticket of the kind you have. (HERE.)
B. Look at the cost of the AP you want. (HERE.)

Subtract A. from B. and pay that amount for the upgrade.

You can only do the upgrade at a ticket booth or Guest Relations at a park, or at TTC, or at DTD.
Resort desks cannot deal with APs.

Thank you!!! One more question... I have park hopper, will they include the park hopper price I paid for the promo/tickets in the difference to be paid to upgrade to APs or no? (I hope I'm making sense not sure how to word it right...)

Hello! I have a question. I currently have a 10 day trip planned in September as well. I will also be upgrading to AP as I have a trip in late December that I will be planning. My sister and I will be upgrading in September and my brother and his wife and 2 kids will be joining in December. I am planning to book the Nemo suite at AoA with a dining plan for all of us. My question is: how does that work if there are 2 people with AP? Should I book a package or room only? How do I add dining for my sister and I?

Thanks in advance!!

Everyone in the room must have the same options. Are you trying to book a "free" dining package? Everyone must purchase tickets to get "free" dining.

If you're planning to pay for the dining plan, you'll want to call and book a "ticketless" package (which cannot be booked online) and then buy your tickets separately.

Well my sister and I have free dining in September we will be upgrading our 10 day park hopper to AP. I am more concerned with the December trip.

For the trip in late December (12/26-1/4) my brother and his family and my sister and I wanted to book the Nemo suite. I don't think Free Dining is available then. So I should book at ticketless package then but tickets separately. But what about dining? Do I add that to the ticketless package? Just say I need 6 dining plans?

Thanks!!

A "ticketless" package is room + dining. You'll book everyone in the same room and add the dining plan. You don't get to choose the number of plans; it matches the people in the room.
