Hi - quick question:

Would you upgrade from 14 day to 21 day WDW tickets on the slim chance you might want to go back to the park for one day - for the four of us it would cost an extra £156. Or would you leave it and if you really wanted to go for one more day (it would be to meet relatives that may not even be going!!) then pay for the tickets at the gate (they would roughly cost £193)

What would you do??

I wouldn't upgrade. Consdidered it a few times but always glad to have decided against it. Depending what time your inbound flight arrives in Orlando and what time you need to leave on the way home, it often makes more sense to skip the parks on arrival day and use "day 14" on the last day when you are leaving. Of course this depends on how late the parks are open the night you arrive. On the slim chance that you decide you need the extra day, you are no worse off buying your tix there. You would only need a base ticket, no add ons anyhow if you are leaving in the afternoon/evening.

I wouldn't ~ I'd rather spend the money on something else and if your relatives do come you could arrange to meet them somewhere like DTD.

We have done this for the extra day. This was however before children and now I wouldnt want to go to a park on our arrival day. We usually just settle in and go to Down Town disney. But to upgrade from a 14 to a 21 day pass doesnt cost much extra for 2 people...but for four I dont think I would spend that much

thanks everyone - I left it as 14 days as we will be staying at Hard Rock Hotel by the time the relatives arrive (thats if they do go!!) - so we will just have to meet them at Universal instead!!:)

Many thanks:thumbsup2

We had same consideration for our August trip, question is whether to go to park on last day and forego a day at start of holiday or upgrade to 21 day tickets. we decided not to go to parks on day of departure
