Upgrade to 2 day question

Ok - I've found similar questions but not exactly this version. I'm a Disney person but willing to spend a day at IOA to see Harry Potter. Right now I can get an advance 1 park ticket for $92 (ouch). I'm thinking if we're crazy about the place and it's way too crowded as non-hotel guests in July that we may need a 2nd day. 2 day base on-line advance says it saves $20 - $126. If I decide to go with a 1 day and upgrade before I leave to add a 2nd day will I pay $34 or $54?

you need to upgrade your one day ticket before you leave the parks that day.

you would pay the difference from what you paid for the one day ticket to the 2 day price.

be it a park to park 2 day or base 2 day.



it is cheaper to upgrade to add another day than to pay the one day price again.



MK is now $101.18 for a one day ticket.
UO is less for a one day ticket.

But is the gate price of a 2 day really $146 and then we'll have to pay $54 to upgrade? I can't seem to find anything but online prices.

Gate prices are about $20 more than online so I too would guess $54 to upgrade.
