Upgrade the Dining Plan for Child

I'm sure it does. I've also heard cases where 2 years after a trip someone's 6 year old is still listed as 4 in the system...

Dean: I have heard cases where people have gotten the dining plan for their 2 year olds (not knowing if the CM was aware of the child's actual age or not)...but why would that be such an issue? I seriously considered it because my 2 year old eats more than my 6 year old. The credits can only be used for a kids meal so I don't get where you would think people would do this to "cheat the system" and get extra credits. Maybe if they have a secret craving for uncrustables? :confused3
Some cheat the system by getting the child credits to use for adults which can be done in a number of ways. It's NOT getting paid for a child's plan vs nothing but having meals paid at a child's price that should be paid at the adult price. I'm sure it's an issue, I just don't know how much of one but it's Disney's option and they've been pretty strict on this one from what I understand. I'm sure there are some that truly want the kids meals for the 2 y/o, we would likely be one of those. As I noted, the other upper side (9 vs 10) doesn't have the same manipulation risk but again it would be Disney's call whether to accept an altered age or not. As long as one doesn't tell them the wrong age just to get an option, I don't have any problems if Disney wants to say yes or no. However, as Brian noted, you can't put in the accurate age of a child and get a variation on the DDP.

That their IT doesn't track it well really is of no consequence to the rest of the discussion.
