upgrade success stories?

My hubby and I are staying at the AKL in October and are lucky enough to have a savannah view room. Believe me..... we are extremely happy but I am trying to be a little selfish. Has anyone ever had any luck upgrading from a savannah view room to either a deluxe savannah or (gasp.....) concierge. Just curious - again we are thrilled just to be going. A little frebbie never hurts though.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. It is more likely to have a standard room upgraded to a water view or pool view. Concierge is considerably more expensive considering the extra ammenities (food, etc...) If you really want concierge you would probably have to pay the difference.
