I was unaware they had a Canoe Slalom Course, but the Softball venue is classic

I'm assuming yes but in the same flow for FIFA world cup tickets here in NorCal we got general info, and then the reality of what was available and at what price wasn't clear until my time slot was called (only the expensive stuff on off days was available).

Expect prices that range between about 20 dollars and up to 1400. Most expensive tickets will be gymnastics and swimming. Finals in sports like fencing, the combat sports etc will be in the 100 to 250 range. Finals for team sports will range from 200ish for handball and field hockey to well over 1000 for basketball. Best value will be prelims in the team sports. Handball, field hockey, basketball, morning sessions of athletics.

Though I will say having 38,000 seats for swimming compared to the usual 8 to 12 will probably make those tickets more attainable.

There will likely be soccer prelims in San Diego, San Jose/Santa Clara, Phoenix and maybe Las Vegas. So those tickets will likely be decent value as well.

Opening Ceremony tickets will probably be 700 to 2200.

Also the calendar is out. We know what is going on when. So if you know you want to see Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone win gold you know to buy ATH12 or if you want to see Katie Ledecky compete in the 1500m you buy SWM10 or if you want to see the throwdown between Ledecky and McIntosh you buy SWM17.

Wait… so the football (world) play ins will take place outside of Los Angeles too? So it’s the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics… but also in Oklahoma City, Santa Clara, Phoenix and Vegas… wow…

Football/Soccer always has stadium use outside of the host region. Paris used Marseilles, Nates, Bordeaux, St Etienne, Lyon, Nice. Tokyo used Yokohama, Sapporo, Rifu, Kashima and Saitama.

LA County's existing football/soccer stadiums are being used for other sports. Rose Bowl is hosting the knock-out portion. But on other match days there will be a need for 8 stadiums. The organizers have said they want to keep it close. So San Diego, San Jose, Santa Clara, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Portland and Seattle are the most likely.
