Upgrade Question

I have a question about upgrades. If you ask for a a certain cabin( cat 6, 6064) will this leave you no chance for an upgrade. I wondered if they pass you up after a request like this,

Asking for a certain cabin does not increase or decrease your chance for an upgrade. It is still a pretty slim chance in most cases.
