I have 2 days left on a 5 day parkhopper. Can I trade those 2 remaining days toward an annual pass and just pay the difference? If so, where can I do this? Any other info on this type of transaction would be appreciated.

What you're talking about is an upgrade, and it can absolutely be done!

Just go to any guest services window (except at the resorts - they can't do it there) and tell them you'd like to upgrade the days remaining on your park hopper to an annual pass.

They will credit you back a prorated amount based on what you PAID (not what the ticket is currently selling for)

So if you bought that 5 day hopper for $100, you'd get a $40 credit toward an annual pass. ($100/5 days = $20/day X 2 days = $40)

I know this may seem trivial but it could greatly affect your ability to do this transaction. In Disneyspeak (which is quite different from English), an upgrade can only be done within 7 days of first use of the ticket. You may very well take that ticket to a Guest Relations window, ask to upgrade it and be told you cannot. It has happened more than once and several times that I've heard of lately.

What you should be asking for is to apply the dollar credit remaining on the ticket towards the price of the AP. This ttransaction can always be done no matter how old the ticket is.

GoldenOldie - are you following me?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

:p

I hope one day to be as knowledgeable as you when it comes to Disney admission. Don't deny it - you ARE an admission guru.

(all said with a great deal of humor) :wave2:

How do they know what you paid for on the park hopper? With all the ticket vendors and gate prices and advance prices. Are the PH's coded to what you actually paid?

Yes they are.

I believe they also keep records for tickets that were printed before they switched to the ATS system in 1996.
