I need y'all opinions on this. I have a 5-day hopper, I'm coming from the east coast so this will probably be my only visit to DL for a long while (I'm a WDW visitor once a year). I keep reading about upgrading to an AP but for me it would cost an additional $500. I do want the photopass, and I know there are discounts I can definitely use like for dining and souvenirs but is it cost effective. We usually get a lot of park souvies for my grandson but not $500 worth but then again it seems like DL is so much more expensive...I'm so undecided. Can the AP be used at WDW? Any suggestions are welcome.:worried::scared:

If you want an AP to DLR and WDW I believe you'd need to purchase this one.

With the cost ($1439+tax) it is a big decision.

Dang. I wish I knew that existed before I bought my annual pass!
It seems like many tickets can be upgraded.
If it's something you're interested in see if you can upgrade your AP to the Premier.

To the OP: write out an estimated budget for all your expected costs (e.g. dining, hotel, tickets, souvenirs, etc.). Then write out another list replacing the tickets with APs and factoring in any discounts. Remember that discount amounts vary according the the AP level. Lower passes get a smaller discount. Compare which list is the better deal for you. It sounds like you don't plan on returning to DLR within a year and the cost of a Premier AP wouldn't make it a bargain unless you visit WDW frequently. Personally, I would stick with your tickets.

Coming from someone who has bought an AP and didn't use it that much one year I personally don't think the discounts and the photo pass will add up to the amount you will be paying. It will end up costing you less to stick to your ph's and buy photo pass before your trip separately than buying the AP.

You all make sense. I think I'll just keep the 5-day PHs. :teeth:
