upgrade MYW to annual pass?

I was wondering if I Could upgrade my MYW tickets to an Annual Pass...

Also, our family is a fan of the dining plan..how would that work if we wanted to use the dining plan, I know everyone has to be on the plan but if I have an annual pas do I just purchase dinng for myself ?

You can't purchase the dining plan with an AP. Everyone on the reservation must be on the same package which includes everyone having the same ticket. You would have to buy at least a one day ticket if you want the dining plan.

Allison is correct, everyone on your ressie has to have the same tickets and be on the dining plan if you book it. So, you could book a package and get 1-day MYW passes for everyone in the group.

Then, here's what you could do. After checking in, you could upgrade the passes for anyone needing more days, pluses, hopping, etc. You could then upgrade your 1-day pass to an AP. Or you can save that 1-day pass for another trip and upgrade your current unused MYW pass to an AP. (I wouldn't use a partially-used MYW pass to apply a dollar credit towards an AP. You won't get much for it.)

Another option: Upgrade your MYW passes to APs. Rent points from a DVCer and stay at a DVC resort. Beginning in April, 2006, DVCers and their guests (renters) can add the dining option on to their stay. You get your ticket ugrade to an AP, deluxe accomodations and the dining plan in just a few easy steps.

I was going to ask a similar question!!
We have MYP plus for February. It was one of the code packages, but I am still very new to terminology etc. We also have the DP.
We are going to get AP's for Universal as my husband has just decided we probably would go back within the year! Yippee!!!!
So, I see that we can upgrade our tickets, but does anyone have any idea what it may cost? We have the 7day ticket. I am not too good on the maths or working things out.
We also have 2days plus a couple of waterpark days leftover from last year's park hopper that don't expire.
Would love someone to work it all out!!!! Thanks

Not enough info to be specific but in general, since you have a package ticket, they will credit you the gate price of a 7 day ticket with whatever options you added to it towards the price of the AP (I'm assuming that's what you want to upgrade your Disney ticket to as you didn't specify) and you would pay the balance. It must be done either prior to using the 7 day ticket or within 14 days from first use of the ticket. If you use the ticket at all before upgrading, the AP will be backdated to the first day you used the 7 day ticket.

We also have 2days plus a couple of waterpark days leftover from last year's park hopper that don't expire.

Use those up and enjoy them or hold onto them for a future visit. You cannot apply those towards the AP as only one old ticket (your 7 day) can be applied towards a new one (your AP).

Thanks GoldenOldie. That's helpful. With it being one of the code packages it is difficult to know what they are actually worth, so I guess we'll just have to wait to ask. Not long now anyway!!!!!
